Every steel maintenance job we undertake follows these stages. It allows us to reliably deliver projects on time, on budget and to the exacting quality standards required by our clients.

Project Review
We work with you to confirm the scope of works, project timings, key points of contact and more - everything we need to ensure a successful install.

Transport
We prepare all components for transportation, including materials for possible repairs that may be uncovered and completed within a short time frame e.g. a shutdown

Safety Audit
We conduct an audit of the install site to ensure your staff and ours will remain safe while on site

Inspection and/or repair
We commence the site works, liaising with your team as appropriate and keeping you informed via daily project updates.

Review
We conduct an exit assessment of the site and record in the project documentation
Annual Maintenance and Shutdowns
Steel Component Fabrication
For scheduled maintenance and shutdowns, we conduct site structural inspections, validating the integrity or steel assets, providing maintenance reports, recommendations and effecting repairs as needed.
- Visual inspection for corrosion
- Inspect for pitting
- Inspect for holes in parent material
- Inspect for thinning of parent material
- Ultrasonic thickness testing of parent material and galvanizing thickness
- Dye-penetrant testing for cracks
- Re-painting, re-galvanizing or retouching of surface protection, depending on the application
- Bracing, strengthening and replacing corroded steel members
- Complete steel structure replacement at end of design life
Site Qualifications
Our skilled team has a combined industry experience of greater than 100 years. All personnel have tickets and competencies in:
- Confined Space Enter and Work
- Working at Heights
- Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)
- Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
- Trained in an Isolation Lock-out Permit to Work system
- Trained in a Hot Works Permit system
- Trained in a Break-in Permit system

Here are some common questions we get asked on this topic.
We have an on call maintenance team, ready for dispatch in less than 24 hours notice. If you have an existing project with us, we can dispatch a maintenance team within 2 hours.
There aren’t too many applications we haven’t worked on. Applications currently outside of our area of expertise include pressure vessels and large pipe work. However we are investing in equipment to be able to cater to these in the future. If unsure, please reach out to us with your questions.
Our maintenance services are provided across South East Queensland. For regions beyond this, we evaluate each project on a case by case basis, to ensure we can provide the same high level of service our clients have come to expect.
